Timeless Renewal of a Classic Residence
This project celebrates the transformation of a beloved early-20th-century family home, thoughtfully revitalized to honour its historic character while introducing refined contemporary living standards. The existing house possessed exceptional charm — steep gabled rooflines, handcrafted stucco, and beautifully proportioned windows — but its condition and layout no longer met modern expectations.
Our design approach was guided by respect for the home’s architectural lineage and its mature, tree-lined setting. Original massing and stylistic cues were preserved, while the exterior envelope was meticulously restored and refined. New wood-clad windows, natural stone detailing, and a hand-finished stucco façade reinstate the home's classic elegance. Subtle enhancements to roof geometry, trim profiles, and entry proportions elevate its presence without compromising authenticity.
To support today’s family lifestyle, the home was extended and re-planned internally to provide improved circulation, expanded living spaces, and abundant natural light. A discreetly integrated garage and welcoming covered entry modernize functionality while maintaining visual harmony with the historic streetscape.
Sustainable, high-performance materials and building systems were introduced throughout, including insulation upgrades and premium roofing, providing lasting comfort and durability in a timeless architectural frame.
The result is a residence that seamlessly marries heritage character with contemporary sophistication — a home rooted in history, renewed for generations to come.
